7th May 2008: Web Design Trends for Site Enhancement - You must have come across websites that contain loads of well-built flash designs, heavy use of bright colors, and large volumes of text to the extent that they scare you. Why does this happen? You have all heard the phrase 'Too many cooks spoil the broth'. Well, the same applies in web design. Often, many of the extra features serve no purpose in addressing the concerns and requirements of the site visitors, and can instead drive them away. Take for example, flash design. Too much flash takes time to download, which your viewers may simply not have the time for. They will inevitably search for another site which delivers the same functions and saves them time and energy.

But hold on a minute. This does not imply that web design 'extras' should be banned altogether. On the contrary, when used in complimentary ways, these enhancements can truly make a big difference in a site's content. Web design trends in recent years have become creative, yet more practical in nature.

Web design companies have become aware of the fact that overloading a website with images, irrelevant text or colors, is ineffective and unnecessary. Using web design themes that offer calming, informative, query solving designs are in demand. Basic colors or fonts are making a comeback. In addition, web designers use blank space in appropriate areas in order to place a focus on a particular topic, and allow a viewer to absorb the content without being bombarded by too much information.

30th Apr 2008: Dynamic Web Site Can be Indexed by Search Engine Spiders - Dynamic pages are often associated with no or little indexing by the search engine spiders.

Why is it so? Why don't the spiders easily index a dynamic page as a static page? Static pages have content that do not change unless they are changed in the html code by the webmaster. The links is static and thus spiders can easily index these pages.Html sites are greatly accepted by search engine crawlers. In the case of dynamic pages the content displayed is according to the search term or query typed. Dynamic websites are driven by huge data base and when any information is required the database is searched and accordingly the results are displayed .Dynamic websites are quick and carry huge information, therefore they are visitors favorite. Some of the examples of dynamic websites are shopping carts, whole sale websites etc. These websites are easy to maintain for the webmasters as it only requires changes or editing the data bases for changes in profiles, pictures, content, prices or any other information, instead of editing or updating individual products. Dynamic websites are also categories with big URLS and having? =&+_ characters. Since the URL is long and also has special characters; it makes the spider impossible to index the links. Some get stuck because they can't supply the information the site needs to generate the page.

Therefore spiders usually avoid indexing of dynamic pages as they have the fear of getting trapped. The cookie data, session id, or a query strings are such terms that the search engine spiders are afraid of.

How to solve the problem.
Dynamic pages cab easily is indexed if the links of such pages are present on a static page. It is usually advised that for promotion of dynamic website a static page is developed with content and links of all the important pages on it. Links can also have some description written below.
